I am sure many people may remember Johnny and his boys Timothy and Joey from years past when they rode enduros. Johnny was an active member of Red River Dirt Riders and was a friend to many. He passed away in peacefully December 9th from asthma complications. Johnny was eulogized December 17th in a memorial service that was very well attended.

His family members and the many friends that eulogized him made us all appreciate him and the life he lived even more. His daughter, Kim, and his sons did a wonderful job paying tribute to their dad and loving father.

Johnny was the Texas State Hill Climbing Champion for five consecutive years, cooked for the Red River Dirt Riders, and did all he could to support the enduro circuit. He was the club cook and his ham and beans were the best! Here is Johnny Cooking for RRDR at Red Bull LMS. Note the meat thermometer. He had those Hot Links down to a science! Kenny Otto and Bill Pearson both credited Johnny with introducing them to the sport of Enduro.
