TEAMS COMPETITION

The TSCEC board is bringing back TEAMS!!  This format is slightly different today than it was several years ago but just as fun.  The purpose is to attract new people to the sport and make it exciting for everyone. Below is a list of the official rules for TSCEC Teams.

Teams Competition is open to both Adults* and Minis.

*Super Short racers are eligible for the Teams Competition and will be scored with the Adults.

TSCEC TEAM RULES

TEAM SETUP:

  • The TSCEC website will host all information having to do with TSCEC teams:

  • Every team must have 3 team members.

  • Every team must pay $90.00 to TSCEC for awards banquet.

    • Awards will be covered by the money accumulated from registration.

  • Every team must attend 50% of the races to qualify for end of year awards.

  • Every team member must attend and leave the start line for the team to earn points for that event.  If all 3 team members are not present, the event will be considered a drop.

  • Every team member must be a TSCEC participant member.

  • Season drops will be the same as the regular schedule.

  • No age or grouping required.

  • Teams can be made up of any class scenario.

  • Team members do not have to be on the same row.

  • Group team pictures must be submitted.

  • The 3 team members can’t change during the season.

  • Mini teams are included, same rules.

POINTS ACCUMULATION:

  • Points are earned at all TSCEC and Co-Sanction events.

  • Points are awarded the same as the current TSCEC rulebook. Points accumulation is based on individual races scores per event. The individual points per team member are accumulated via all 3 team members to make the total score for the event.

  • WORST team name gets an additional 20 points ADDED.

  • BEST team name gets a 20-point DEDUCTION.

  • Any team that brings a new rider to TSCEC, can allow that rider to join their team as a 4th team member for that event only.  The additional rider’s score counts towards the total event accumulated score, (limit 2 per year).

  • You get 10 extra points for every coyote or pig that you shoot on your way to the race. Roadkill must be turned in at the club house and delivered to the competition chairman for proof.

TEAM YEAR-END AWARDS

YEAR-END AWARDS:

  • Total accumulated score determines year-end awards.

  • If you place in one of the 5 positions, you will have to receive your “prize” in a very special fun way at the banquet. You will be recognized!

  • There are 5 TSCEC Team Awards:

    • MOST points: First Place award

    • LEAST points: Second Place award

    • 2nd, 3rd, 4th fills in the middle. See example below.
